The 350-acre North Strand Park offers ball fields, picnic shelters, and three scenic trails for walking, hiking, and biking. Trails include the Carolina Bay Trail (.6 mi), Meadow Trail (.56 mi), and Lake Side Trail (.5 mi), winding by a 25-acre lake and through the 10-acre meadow.

Huntington Beach State Park
The 26-mile trail from Murrells Inlet to Litchfield Beach offers a relaxing walk through coastal terrain, including beaches, maritime forests, and swamplands. Be sure to stop at Atalaya Castle, a Spanish-style fortress with tours and a shady courtyard for a break. Park Admission: $8/adult; $5/S.C. Ocean Forest Trail
The Ocean Forest Trail, just north of the Golden Mile, is a half-mile path between 53rd and 60th Avenues North on Ocean Boulevard. It features 10 workout stations, offering a chance to mix walking with exercise, all while enjoying a beautiful ocean view.

The Golden Mile
The stretch of Ocean Boulevard between 31st and 52nd Avenue North, known as "The Golden Mile," is one of Myrtle Beach’s most prestigious areas. It features mostly private beachfront homes, with no hotels, just residential properties and beach accesses with small parks. This nearly 2-mile path showcases some of the oldest and most luxurious beach homes. Sidewalks on both sides of the street offer a chance to cross over for a closer view on the return trip.
